The Australia India Business Exchange (AIBX) is the Australian Government's premier initiative to strengthen trade and investment ties with India. In 2022, the Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (AI-ECTA) further solidified this partnership.
To help businesses capitalize on these opportunities, Austrade, in collaboration with the Forum of Indian Food Importers (FIFI), organized a business mission to India from September 26th to 30th, 2022. Led by Austrade CEO Xavier Simonet, the mission offered participants the chance to explore India's dynamic markets, network with key industry players, and identify potential partners.
FIFI played a crucial role in tailoring the mission to the specific interests of participating companies. By arranging industry site visits, facilitating meetings with government officials and industry representatives, and providing expert market briefings, FIFI helped businesses gain valuable insights into the Indian market.
With a rapidly growing economy and a large consumer base, India presents significant opportunities for Australian businesses in sectors such as food, education, and healthcare.
